2025 Rudy LaJoie Scholarship Application

The Rudy LaJoie scholarship is available for those who financially need help paying for registration.

Scholarships are no longer available for Reds and Blues baseball players and 18U and 16U softball players. ( The SYO has umpiring jobs available throughout the season that can help to offset those costs.)

If needed, the scholarship also offers some help in purchasing equipment. Fill out the section regarding equipment needs. Please be accurate when giving sizes. A $50 gift card to Play it Again Sports in Superior will be given. You MUST purchase baseball or softball shoes, pants or a glove. It will be good only in April and May.

The Rudy LaJoie Scholarship does not cover tournament baseball or softball teams.

Playing in any sport is a commitment. If you receive this scholarship, we ask that you agree to make this commitment.

If you have received this scholarship previously and have failed to commit, you will not be eligible.

You cannot belong to any other baseball or softball organization or play on any teams other than SYO, or have plans to join any other teams before the season ends.
